Argireline: Dosing Protocols

Important Note#

Argireline (acetyl hexapeptide-8) is a cosmetic active ingredient applied topically to the skin. It is not an injectable peptide. All application is via topical skincare products targeting areas of dynamic wrinkles.

Commercial Product Concentrations#

Commercial products typically contain Argireline at concentrations ranging from 2-10%. The raw material is supplied by Lubrizol as "Argireline Solution" (acetyl hexapeptide-8 in water) at various concentrations for cosmetic formulators.

Application Guidelines#

For topical anti-wrinkle use:

1. Cleanse the skin thoroughly
2. Apply Argireline-containing product to areas of dynamic wrinkles (forehead, around eyes, between brows)
3. Gently pat (do not rub) to encourage absorption
4. Allow to absorb before applying additional products
5. Use consistently twice daily for best results
6. Visible effects typically emerge after 2-4 weeks of regular use
7. Continue use for maintained benefit

Argireline is most effective on dynamic wrinkles caused by repeated muscle contractions:
